Julia Baumann comes from Austria and trained as a specialist in the hotel and tourism sector. The focus of her training was on tourism, the hotel business, management & marketing.

 

She gained initial business experience in the travel agency of the Hochzillertaler Bergbahnen mountain lift company as a contact person for guests. She then moved to the large tourist region of Alpbachtal lake country and provided support for over seven years as Front Desk Manager to both domestic and international guests and groups. She increasingly took on the additional management of marketing events und represented the region at trade fairs and events.

 

In September 2017 she exchanged the mountains for a clear view of the sea and moved to Berlin. She worked as Office Manager and Project Assistant in a consultancy company and since March 2019 she has been applying her organisational expertise and talent as a host to Below Tippmann & Compagnie.

 

As Office Manager and Project Assistant she provides administrative support to the managing directors and the team in their recruitment and Newplacement projects and ensures through her friendly manner that both guests and colleagues feel as if they are on holiday.

 

Julia Baumann speaks German and English and is learning Spanish.

From trainee to consultant

Andreas Hein is a trained industrial clerk and business economist (M.A.) with a Master’s degree in Labour and Human Resources Management from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences. He specialises in talent management, diversity and change management and the impact of digitalisation.


After an internship at BT and two years as a working student in research, he joined us permanently as a research consultant in September 2018 and became a consultant two years later. He advises both our clients and candidates. In addition to his profound research craft, he is proficient in the entire applicant, candidate and client management and the professional 360-degree support of the mandates. Discretion and open and transparent communication are the cornerstones of a mandate for him – both towards candidates and clients. His industry focus is on manufacturing/industry, private and public utilities as well as transport/logistics. Andreas Hein is fluent in English and knows the basics of Spanish.

Ulrich Misgeld is a qualified banker and business economist. In 1967 he started his apprentice training at Deutsche Bank, studied parallel to his work and worked, until he left the company in 1992, for Deutsche Bank in corporate banking, most recently as manager for Berlin and Brandenburg branch. In 1992 he became a member of the board of directors of the Berliner Volksbank.

 

At the beginning of 2000 Ulrich Misgeld left the banking world and was appointed as a member of the board for Finances, IT and HR at Selux AG, a leading company of the lighting industry with plants in Germany, France and the USA.

 

After 15 years in this position and various voluntary activities in industrial associations and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) he went into planned retirement at the age of 65 in September 2015. Today he currently has Executive Board responsibilities in charities,  he is chairman of the UnternehmensNetzwerk Motzener Straße e.V. and takes on supervisory board work. Since October 2015 he has been council member at the Below Tippmann&Compagnie Personalberatung GmbH. Mr Misgeld is an enthusiastic marathon runner and has successfully participated in almost 50 runs.

Michael Tippmann studied agriculture and business management at the Technical University of Munich, the University of Lyon and the Free University of Berlin. In 1980 he completed his studies as a graduate in business administration. During his time at university he was also a successful businessman in Berlin with a trading company for industrial supplies and raw materials. After completing his studies he worked as an Academic Assistant for the German Employers’ Associations (BDA) in Cologne and four years later moved to Bayer AG as Head of the “Management of Core Personnel Issues” section and as Assistant to the Personnel Director.

 

From 1987 to 2013 Michael Tippmann worked for Kienbaum Personnel Consultancy, initially as a Senior Consultant. In 1996 he was appointed as Partner and in 1997 as a Member of the Executive Board of Kienbaum Berlin GmbH.

 

At the beginning of 2013 he co-founded, together with his partner of many years Jürgen Below, Below Tippmann & Compagnie Personalberatung GmbH and plays an active role as Managing Director and Partner. He recruits people for management and specialist positions with a focus on the public, trade association, private and public energy and utility company sectors as well as the automotive and manufacturing industries. Specialist areas covered are technology, research & development, industry 4.0, sales & marketing and communication.

 

He has been the moderator for over ten years of the “Businessman’s Round Table” discussion forum of the Berliner Morgenpost newspaper and is a much called-for speaker on practical issues in the personell sector.

 

Michael Tippmann has been an advisory board member and shareholder of the GmbH since June 2025. As an advisor, he uses his extensive network and expertise to support selected mandates and continues to support his colleagues.

Jürgen Below has degrees in both business and psychology. After graduating from his second study course at the Free University of Berlin he joined the Berlin office of the Kienbaum Group in 1985 and worked there for ten years as Senior Consultant specialising in the Berlin consultancy market.

 

In 1996 he took over the management of Kienbaum Berlin GmbH and had responsibility for the offices in Berlin, Dresden, Rostock and later Erfurt. In 1998 he set up the business in Poland, established it and managed the office in Warsaw. In 1999 he developed the new business area of “Newplacement” which he also managed throughout Germany.

 

At the end of 2012 Jürgen Below left the Kienbaum Group and at the beginning of 2013 founded Below Tippmann & Compagnie Personalberatung GmbH together with his partner and colleague, Michael Tippmann. Until April 2022 he was active as a managing partner.

 

He supported companies of all sizes in filling management positions. In May 2022 Jürgen Below became a council member and managingpartner.

 

As a council member, he continues to help shape the principles and strategy of the consulting services and business activities. With his large network, he accompanies selected mandates and supports the consulting colleagues with advice and action.
